Urban Decay Naked Palette Review!

Hello everyone!

Once again, I find myself getting caught up in the general flow of life and yet again never find any time to post!! This frustrates my because my blog is my creative outlet and I love publishing new things for you guys, so if anyone has any suggestions on how to balance blog + life, that would be greatly appreciated!

Anyway! Moving on to the main point of this post, recently I stepped into the secret garden we call Sephora and was immediately drawn to a bright pink Urban Decay sign with the most gorgeous palette I had seen pictured on it, and I went to have a look. This palette, as you may have already guessed, is the Urban Decay Naked eyeshadow palette!

I’ve heard only good comments on this palette, so naturally I had to purchase one to try out myself. Of course, I fell absolutely in love with every single shade, and I am so so happy I purchased it!

The Quality:

The quality of this palette is outstanding, I must say. Being a bit more on the pricey side, the Naked Palette is complete with a sort of felt-velvety feel on the case, and inside is complete with a mirror and a double-sided eyeshadow brush. Overall, I am very happy with the quality of the palette, the case it comes in, and the consistency of the colors.

The Colors!

As some of you may know, the Naked Palette is a nude palette, and most of its shadow colors range from nudist-brown to gold, with only a few dark shades. I am a huge fan of nude eyeshadows, so this palette was perfect for me. Some of my favorite colors so far are Sin (a shimmery pinky-brown), Buck (a gorgeous matte brown) and Half Baked (a beautiful shimmery gold that adds so much to your look).

I hope that if you do decide to purchase the Urban Decay Naked Palette, you love it as much as I do! Thank you so much for reading and I hope you enjoyed the post! Leave a comment down below and tell me what you think!

Mac Viva-Glam Lipstick Review

Hello everyone!

While browsing through my local Sephora just this week, I spotted a wall of Mac lipsticks – naturally, I just had to take a look. I chose a lipstick that is now one of my faves; the Mac Satin Lipstick in the shade Viva-Glam II.

Believe it or not, this was actually one of the first lipsticks I ever bought when I got into makeup. I completely forgot about it, but I’m so happy I found it again and have been ‘reunited’ with this amazing lipstick! So sit down and get ready for a nice, long review 😂 Enjoy!

This is the Mac Satin Lipstick in the shade Viva-Glam II. It’s a gorgeous nude-brownish shade, and adds a natural finish to your makeup look. Now I’m not gonna lie, it does look a bit used in this photo, only because I have been using it nonstop this week haha! Since I like more natural looking makeup, this goes perfectly with almost every look.

While wearing this lipstick, I only had to reapply a few times throughout the day, as this lipstick has a pretty normal ‘staying-rate,’ if you will. This lipstick cost $17, which, in my opinion, is a good price for a lipstick like this. It can be found at your local Mac store or beauty store (I got mine at Sephora).

This is what the lipstick looks like on. I don’t know if my skin color affects how it looks, but this is pretty much it! A gorgeous nude shade.

I’m so happy I found this lipstick again, and plan on wearing it many times in the future! If you have any questions or comments, let me know! Thanks for reading! ❤️

Favorite Makeup Tools!

Hello everyone!

While doing my makeup recently, I took a look at all my brushes etc. and thought: how could we be doing makeup the way we do without these? I feel like we don’t acknowledge makeup tools enough (I am so weird lol), which is why I am writing this post! I want to “acknowledge” my three most favorite/useful makeup tools. Enjoy!:)

1. The Beauty Blender

Ah, the Beauty Blender. Where would we be without it? It makes it so easy to blend everything from under eye concealer to contour. My Beauty Blender is probably my favorite out of the three tools in this post. I have used a Beauty Blender ever since I started wearing makeup, and it just makes life so much easier! Beauty Blender, I love you.

2. e.l.f Ultimate Blending Brush

I absolutely love this brush. You can use it to blend everything – I mean, everything. And who doesn’t love blending? I also love e.l.f brushes, they are not that expensive, but get the job done really well.

3. e.l.f Eyeshadow “C” Brush

And here we are with another e.l.f brush. They are just so amazing! This brush is my favorite eyeshadow brush ever. It’s great for blending, helps make an awesome smoky look, and is just the best. It works for just about every look you’re going for! I love love love this brush!!

And those are my top three favorite makeup tools! Hope you enjoyed the post! Like + comment to let me know what you think! Thanks for reading ❤

Curly Hair: How To Take Care Of It

Hello everyone!

As most of you know by now, I have super curly hair! For a while, I didn’t like my curly hair. I wanted straight, easy to brush hair like everyone else. I kept comparing my hair to other peoples hair. I kept thinking, ‘Why is mine frizzy and puffy while theirs is sleek and shiny?’ About a month ago, I read an article on how to embrace curly hair, and now I look at my hair in a whole new way. My curls are a special part of me, and it doesn’t matter if I don’t have straight hair! Having curly hair is unique, and I have learned to love and embrace having it. I decided to jump into action on getting my hair to look its best, so down below are my top three products for curly hair. These have helped me so much, and if anyone out there has curly hair also, I really do think these will help you too. Enjoy!:)

1. OGX Quenching + Coconut Curls Shampoo

This has become my favorite shampoo of all time. On the bottle, it says that this shampoo gives natural softness to your hair, tames frizz, and helps your curls look better then ever! It also smells amazing, like coconut and vanilla. This shampoo has helped me get rid of most of my frizz, and helps my curls look their best!

2. OGX Quenching + Coconut Curls Conditioner

This conditioner actually comes in a set with the shampoo, and is just as amazing as it.  It also has that amazing smell of coconut, and does the same thing as the shampoo, just as a conditioner. This is such a good conditioner, and helps my hair not have any tangles when I brush it after (which can be such a struggle for people with curly hair!) Definitely recommend using this conditioner!

3. Morocconoil Intense Curl Cream

This cream is my hair’s saving grace. After I wash and brush my hair, I massage this cream into my hair, and it makes my curls look even curlier. What happens when I brush my hair is I end up brushing the curls out, and without this cream my hair would just be puffy. When I use the cream, the curls return and look amazing! I love this cream!!

And that is how I take care of my curls! If you have any questions or comments please let me know by leaving a comment! Thanks for reading ❤

Favorite Nail Polish This Month!

Hello everyone!

If you didn’t know already, I love doing my nails. I’m not really into really bright shades (aka hot pink or orange) but I do love pastel blues/purples and nude nail colors. So today I have decided to share my top three favorite nail colors with you! The brand of nail polish these all are is Sally Hansen. I absolutely love Sally Hansen nail polish. It stays on for a while, its not that expensive, and overall it is just a really great brand. Anyway, lets get started! Enjoy 🙂

This is the Sally Hansen Hard As Nails Xtreme Wear in the shade Babe Blue. This is one of my favorite nail polishes ever! It is such a pretty shade of blue, perfect if you’re going for a cool-colored look. I think you can even wear this with something bright colored! For example, I have worn this color with a light orange dress, and the colors matched really well together. I love this color!!

This is the Sally Hansen Hard As Nails Xtreme Wear in the shade Big Teal (which I think is such a cute name!!) This color is darker than the Babe Blue shade, and is a nice teal color (hence the name). I think this is such a pretty color, its sort of like a happy shade of blue, and to me is perfect for summer. It just gives off that happy-laid back- vibe.

This is the last of my favorite nail polishes for this month, and it is the Sally Hansen Hard As Nails Xtreme Wear in the shade Lacey Lilac. Purple is my favorite color, especially lilac or light purple, so this shade was perfect for me! It is just such a beautiful shade of purple, and honestly, for me it goes with everything. What’s not to love about such a pretty color!!

So those are my top three nail polish colors this month! Hope you enjoyed the post! Let me know what you think in the comments! Thanks for reading ❤

Neutrogena Nourishing Eye Quad Review

Hello everyone!

Hope you’re having a great morning/day/night wherever you are in the world!!

I would like to tell you that I am going on vacation for a little over a week, and will be missing the posts of next week. This post is also a little short, because I am in the middle of packing (the one part of vacation I don’t like 😁😂).

One day this week I was going for a casual makeup look, and needed some eye makeup to match. While going through my makeup drawer (you will find that I do this quite a lot. You never know what you might find!) I found this eye shadow:

This is the Neutrogena Nourishing Eye Quad in the color palette Sea Shell 140. Yes, once again I am doing an eye product review, but why not?? I can’t help loving eye shadows and mascaras!! 😂

This product actually comes in two color palette choices, Sea Shell 140 or Moonlight Violet 170. The one that I have is the Sea Shell one, and I love it. As you can see, this eyeshadow product has a small variety of colors that can be used together or by themselves (I use them together most of the time). This product is also great because it stays for a while on your eyelids without fading and on the cover of the product is labels each color and what it is used for. It even comes with its own mini eyeshadow brush thing (which I think cool and helpful). I also happen to love nude/natural eyeshadows, which makes this palette so much greater for people who also love natural eyeshadows.

I love this eyeshadow palette, it is so useful and gives a really nice natural look. I often use this palette when I’m not sure what eyeshadow to put on, and it always looks flawless.

Thanks for reading and see you next week!!

Victoria’s Secret Bombshell Perfume

Hello everyone!

Hope you’ve had a good week! To start off, I would just like to take a breath.. This week has been crazy for me!! I had all my exams (today were the last ones!!) but now I am back and exam-free!

Last weekend I took a trip to Victoria’s Secret, just to check out their beauty products. My friend had used them and recommended them to me, so I checked them out online and they looked pretty cool! So I decided it was time for a trip to Victoria’s Secret.

When I walked into the store the first thing I saw was their perfume/body care section. I headed straight over there, and must have spent half and hour looking and smelling all their different perfumes and body lotions, and at last I found one that I LOVED. The problem was, it was just a sample, and they were out of stock of the real product. I was so upset, but luckily the lovely manager gave me two free samples (you know, those really cute mini-perfumes!!) and I wanted to share it with you today!

This is the Victoria’s Secret Bombshell perfume. It has an elegant/girly/sweet sort of smell, which is why I love it so much. You can wear it pretty much anywhere, and I have been using it all week. Also, can we take a moment to look at how cute the packaging of this sample is?? Love the bow 🎀<3

That’s it for this week!! What’s your favorite Victoria’s Secret beauty item? Let me know in the comments! Thanks for reading ❤

Favorite Eye Makeup!

Hello everyone!

So this week I was feeling a lot of love for my eye makeup, and wanted to show you my two favorite eye products I have used from April until now.

These are the Blue Eyes eyeshadow palette and the Neutrogena  Weightless Volume mascara. These products are amazing. I will do a review of each and then sum it all up in the end.

Blue Eyes Eyeshadow Palette

I am in love with this palette. First of all, there is a lot of selection, so you can easily mix up your look without buying a million of those mini-eyeshadow things. The colors in this palette are really pretty, and I love mixing them together to create different and bolder colors. Again, love love love this eyeshadow!!

Neutrogena Weightless Volume Mascara

This mascara is probably one of my favorite mascaras I have used this year. It is super easy to apply in the morning and comes off quickly at night with a makeup remover wipe. I know I don’t like it when you have to rub really hard to get mascara off. This mascara is not like that, which is a big bonus! The black of this mascara is described as “super black,” and believe me, it is. It really makes your lashes stand out and it just ties your whole look together.

Again, I love everything about these two products, and often use them together (eye collab!!) to create anything from a light spring/summer look to a smoky eye.

Thanks for reading! Hope you’ve enjoyed the post and see you Wednesday!!

bareMinerals Marvelous Moxie Review

Hello everyone!

Happy Friday! This week I absolutely fell in love with this bareMinerals lipgloss, so look forward to a nice long review 😂

This is the bareMinerals Marvelous Marvelous Moxie lipgloss in the colors Charmer and Spark Plug. I have a few things to say about this lipgloss. First of all I LOVE bareMinerals, so no surprise that this lipgloss was amazing. Second of all, isn’t it awesome that someone finally invented a double lipgloss?? I cannot get over that!

The lipgloss comes in a set of three other colors besides these, but I decided to do the review on my favorite colors of the set (Charmer and Spark Plug)

Since the lipgloss came with two sides, I will do a quick review of each side and then summarize everything about it at the end.

The Charmer Side

The side of the lipgloss in the color Charmer was my favorite of the two col0rs. It’s a really pretty light pink, and to me is very happy. It’s great for daywear, especially in the spring and summer, and goes with pretty much everything. I have been wearing the Charmer side of the lipgloss so much this week, and absolutely love it!!

The Spark Plug Side

The Spark Plug color side (I don’t know why they named it that) is darker than the Charmer side, and for me would be worn with a more sophisticated look. It is still a really pretty color though. It is a darker pink with sort of magenta/red accents to it (it’s harder to explain the color for this side !) Anyway, I think the Spark Plug side of the lipgloss is really nice, and I have already worn it once for an evening out with my friend.

These are what the colors look like on

Let’s list out the things about it one more time:

– The colors are pretty

– It’s double sided (yay!!)

– It can be worn for casual and formal events

I really love this lipgloss, and recommend you use it also. It has been by far my favorite lip product this month so far!!

Here’s a link in case any of you are interested in buying it:

Hope you’ve enjoyed the post and see you Wednesday!

Skin Care

Hey guys!

Hope you’ve had a good week!

So let’s talk skin care.

I know we all suffer/have suffered from acne at one time or another. Pimples are just so.. Annoying!! (Especially when they happen right before a big event 😁)

Some of you may be in need of ways to keep your skin fresh and clean, so you can always look your best. I have a nighttime skin routine that I always do, and it really helps with keeping my skin clear.

~ If you want to use one of these products, I’ll leave links to them all below, so that you’ll be able to order them if they’re not available where you live ~

The products I use are: (keep in mind that I don’t use all of them at once)

– Skin purifying astringent

– Clearasil Ultra 5-In-One Pads

– Johnson&Johnson Clean & Clear Persa-Gel 10

– Neutrogena Oil-Free Acne Wash Redness Soothing Facial Cleanser

– Lemon juice (sounds weird, but I’ll explain)

Ok, so let’s do a quick review of these products so that you can see which one will work for you!

Skin Purifying Astringent

First of all, let’s just take a moment to acknowledge how great the product is. What it does is that when you apply it, it cleanses your pores, getting rid of all the dirt and oil on your face. (At some parts of your face, such as where there is acne, it might sting a little, but that is ok. The astringent is just doing its job). This product is available at your local drug store (I got mine at CVS).

How To Use: To use this product, take a cotton ball or something similar, pour some astringent onto it, and gently rub it on your face. I recommend using this after you do sports, after parties… If you’d like, you can even use it every day.

Clearasil 5-In-One Pads

I am in love with this product. It’s sort of like a wipe, but smaller and better. What is does it that when you rub it on your face, it gets rid of dirt and oil. Getting rid of all this stuff is important, because it is what causes pimples!! I also really like how it smells (I am SO weird, I know 😂), but it just gives off a clean-feeling vibe. This product is available pretty much anywhere  (I got mine from Target).

How To Use: This product is quite simple to use. It comes in a case where you screw off the lid, so after you do that, just take out one of the pads (there are a lot in there), and gently rub it onto your face (make sure not to rub too hard !) I use this product every day, because it clears the skin without drying it.

Clean&Clear Persa-Gel 10

I don’t use this product every day, only when I have pimples. This product has benzoyl-peroxide in it, and it even says on the package not to use it unless you have pimples (I made the mistake of doing this once, and my skin got really red and started peeling). That being said, this product is affective in quickly getting rid of blemishes. Every time I use it I know that my skin will be back to normal in a few days (sometimes even shorter!) Remember that you just have to be patient. This product is available at your local drug store (I don’t really remember where I got mine).

How To Use: This product is also very simple to use. It comes in a little bottle (I’m not sure if that’s the right word though) that you gently squeeze. Out comes white cream that you put on your finger and apply to where it is needed. Then just leave it alone and it will do its job. (Note: As this product stands out on your face because it is white, I recommend using it at night before you go to sleep. That way, the product has time to clear your skin without any daily activities getting in the way).

Neutrogena Oil-Free Acne Wash Redness Soothing Facial Cleanser

That is a LONG name, I know. But this cleanser is my best friend. What is does is that it cleanses your skin (which is pretty vague, but I’ll explain). Think about it this way: when you take a shower and wash your body with soap, the soap is cleaning your body right? This is the same thing, only for your face. I also really like the smell of this product (here we go again with the smell 😂). I think there are different flavors, but I have the green apple one and I absolutely LOVE it!! This product is available at your local drug store (I got mine from Target).

How To Use: This product has just a tiny bit more work than the others. What you do is you wet your face completely with warm water (this opens up your pores so the cleanser can clean them). I recommend using the product while in the shower, so that your face is already wet and your pores are already opened. After your face is wet, pump a little bit of the product onto your hands (it comes in a bottle) and rub it together until it looks like soap. Then gently rub it all over your face for a few minutes with your hands. After you are done with this, wash the product off completely. This is very important because if you don’t wash all the product off it is not good for your skin and makes it feel really weird and tight.

Lemon Juice

This method for quickly getting rid of pimples is all natural and fast working. Lemon juice might not sound like the most appealing thing to put on your face, but trust me it works (if you have sensitive skin, don’t use this method. The juice will only make your skin irritated). When applied, the lemon juice dries out the pimple. This is good because it reduces the size and redness of the pimple. Make sure only to apply to the where is needed. It’s not good to put lemon juice on your skin where it isn’t needed ! (it might harm your skin). Just a note, when you first apply the juice, it may sting a little, but that’s ok! The lemon juice has acid in it, that’s why. Don’t freak out like I did!😂 This product is available anywhere that food is sold (ex. your local supermarket)

How To Use: This method isn’t that hard to use. First you simply cut a lemon in half and squeeze the lemon juice into a small bowl. Then take a cotton ball or something similar (don’t use your fingers unless you have really cleaned them thoroughly) and dip it in the lemon juice. Gently dab the cotton ball to the pimple and leave it alone. You can do this method during the day when you are doing work at home, doing homework, or watching TV for example.

Hope that these products/methods helped you! They definetly do whenever I use them.  All of these products are great, and are a good way to make sure your skin is always looking it’s best.

Here are the links to all of the products just like I promised (except for lemon juice obviously)
